In 2008, Pleasant Hill discussed the possibility of banning 'pit bulls' from the community. However, after some debate and after meeting members of the veterinary and animal welfare community, the council and the mayor unanimously opposed the action. The following reflects their votes and opinions on that subject. Nothing is known at this time about the two candidates that are running against the incumbants.
